Plastic Stockist provides a superb range of Nylon 6 Sheet combining high strength, stiffness and hardness. Nylon 6 PLA (Ertalon 6 PLA) is available in natural (ivory) or black.

Unmodified Nylon 6 PLA grade has very similar properties of nylon 66 SA. It combines high strength, stiffness and hardness with good creep and wear resistance, heat ageing properties and machinability. Nylon 6 is available in plates with a thickness of 10mm - 100mm.

Common uses for Nylon 6 Sheet

Application example for Nylon 6 Sheet can be found in a curved drum for a chicken processing line. The cutting tools move up and down driven by rollers moving in the slots of a cam drum. These tools are used for cutting the chicken into pieces. Ertalon 6 PLA was selected, due to its excellent wear resistance and its food contact compliant position. Nylon 6 sheet is the only material available in the sizes requested for the drums.

The key benefits of using Nylon 6 sheet in this application was noise dampening, good impact resistance and availability of larger sizes.
