The main characteristics for this plastic are high mechanical strength, stiffness and hardness. Ertalyte PET plastic has very good creep resistance, low and constant coefficient of friction. Ertalyte has excellent wear resistance which is comparable to or even better than nylon plastic grades.

Ertalyte rod are suitable for the manufacture of mechanical precision parts which have to sustain high loads and subject to wear. Ertalyte TX rod specific formulation makes it a premium internally lubricated bearing grade, offering outstanding wear resistance. In comparison with the virgin grade, Ertalyte TX offers even lower coefficient of friction and higher pressure-velocity capabilities.
